Silicon Canvas Joins Synopsys Milkyway Access Program

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 2003--Silicon Canvas, Inc. (SCI), a market leader in full-custom layout solutions, today announced it has signed up for Synopsys' Milkyway(TM) Access Program (MAP-in(SM)). MAP-in gives members access to Synopsys' widely used Milkyway design database and environment for the integration of commercial electronic design automation (EDA) tools. Through MAP-in, Silicon Canvas' full-custom layout tool, Laker, will have a tight interface with Synopsys' Hercules(TM) physical verification tool by using the Milkyway application programming interface (API). Silicon Canvas can now deliver products already integrated with the Milkyway Environment, thereby reducing mutual customers' integration costs.
